What "All-Inclusive" Actually Means on an LBE Charter

2 min read

Quick Answer: An all-inclusive charter with Leisure Boat Experience covers the boat, a USCG-licensed captain and mate, snacks and a light lunch, water and soda, coolers with ice, snorkeling gear, floatation devices, and all security equipment and life jackets. Gratuity, alcoholic beverages, and upgrades like the BBQ experience, personalized cake, or paddleboard are not included and are available separately.

What's Actually on Board

Every charter includes a selection of fruits, dips, crackers, and cold cut sandwiches, along with water and soda served from coolers packed with ice. Snorkeling gear and floatation devices are provided for every guest, sized for both adults and kids.

The boat itself — a 36-foot Albemarle Carolina Classic Express Yacht — comes with a USCG-licensed captain and mate, diesel, cleaning fees, and full security equipment. None of that gets added as a line item later; it's built into the base price.

What's Not Included — and Why

Gratuity is not included in the charter rate. We recommend 15% or more, paid directly to the crew — prepaid at checkout or handled in cash, Venmo, PayPal, or ATH Móvil the day of your trip.

Alcoholic beverages aren't provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own. The one exception: red wine and glassware aren't permitted on board.

A few extras exist specifically because not every group wants them. The BBQ Experience (a fresh-cooked meal with a choice of Caribbean Grill, American Grill, or Mexican Fest menus), a personalized cake for birthdays or celebrations, and an additional paddleboard are all available as add-ons at checkout rather than built into every trip.

Why This Matters When You're Comparing Charters

"All-inclusive" can mean very different things depending on who's using the term. For Leisure Boat Experience, it specifically means: no separate bill for the captain, the boat, the gear, or the food and drinks listed above — the price you see is the price you pay, before gratuity and any optional upgrades.

Knowing this up front means no surprises at checkout, and no guessing about what to pack beyond the essentials — sunscreen, a towel, and comfortable shoes.

What to Bring Yourself

A few things fall outside what's provided: towels, a small light bag, reef-safe sunscreen in lotion form, a sun hat and light clothing, and comfortable sandals or water shoes. If you'd like your own alcoholic beverages on board, that's welcome too — just leave the red wine at home.
